About Ohemmaa Palace Foundation
Founded in 2019, Ohemmaa Palace Foundation (OHP) is a women’s empowerment nonprofit rooted in the belief that in every woman, there is a queen (#iewtiaq). Through mentorship, leadership development, and community outreach, we create spaces for young women to grow, lead, and serve with purpose.
From hosting community service initiatives to building collegiate chapters at Virginia Commonwealth University and Old Dominion University, OHP has grown into a vibrant sisterhood dedicated to making a global impact. As we rebrand and expand, we invite you to step into this movement with us.
Building the Future of Ohemmaa Palace, Together.
Since its founding in 2019, Ohemmaa Palace Foundation (OHP) has empowered women and young leaders through mentorship, service, and sisterhood. Our collegiate chapters, established at Virginia Commonwealth University and Old Dominion University, have created spaces for women to connect, grow, and serve their communities. Through leadership development and intentional programs, OHP has helped equip members with the skills and confidence to step into their roles as changemakers.
OHP’s impact extends beyond the college campus. We have organized clothing drives, food distributions, and community dinners to meet local needs, while also supporting shelters, hospitals, and schools through outreach initiatives. Partnerships with organizations like Fashion for Missions, Read 2 Lead International, and Hilda Barg Homeless Shelter have allowed us to amplify our efforts, bringing resources and hope to underserved communities. In Ghana, our global outreach has included supporting the Osu Children’s Home and educating women on sustainable health practices.
Alongside community service, OHP has hosted unique events and platforms to highlight women’s voices and creativity. From the Adopt a Box dinner on sustainability in fashion to panel discussions, fundraisers, and mentoring programs, our work reflects both innovation and purpose. Each initiative reinforces our belief that in every woman, there is a queen (#iewtiaq), and through service, collaboration, and leadership, Ohemmaa Palace Foundation continues to crown women with opportunities to lead and uplift others.
____________________________________________
Ohemmaa Palace Foundation is led by an executive team that guides the vision, strategy, and daily operations of the organization. At the top of this leadership is the President and Founder, who provides overall direction and ensures that OHP stays true to its mission of empowering women through leadership, service, and sisterhood. Supporting the President is the Vice President, who not only assists in management but also takes charge of leading campus-based efforts and expanding the foundation’s presence nationally through collegiate chapters. Together, they ensure the organization functions with purpose and clarity.
Alongside the President and Vice President, OHP has dedicated program leadership such as the Director of the QIM Mentoring Program. This role focuses on growing the mentoring initiative, strengthening mentor-mentee relationships, and ensuring young women have the resources and guidance to succeed. To complement this, the Campus Relations Director works directly with collegiate chapters, providing support, training, and structure while allowing flexibility for each chapter to adapt leadership roles that meet their unique needs.
In addition to executive leadership, OHP operates with specialized directors who bring focus to essential areas of the organization. The Finance Director manages budgeting, fundraising, and financial accountability to keep the organization transparent and sustainable. The Outreach Director works closely with a team of volunteers to recruit members, strengthen community ties, and expand OHP’s partnerships. Meanwhile, the Communications & Marketing Director oversees brand visibility and media strategy, supported by a creative marketing team of volunteers who handle content creation, social media, and promotions. This collaborative structure ensures that OHP’s work is both well-organized and community-driven, making room for leaders and volunteers alike to step into the palace and serve.
